For More Information

Direct Farm Manitoba is the voice for the small scale farm sector in Manitoba. It is a member-owned cooperative of direct marketing farmers and farmers’ markets, supporting members to achieve fairness in the industry, and maximizing their opportunities for economic sustainability. By helping farms and farmers’ markets, it help all Manitobans make better decisions about food. Find your farm and market.

SeedChange (formerly USC Canada) works with farmers around the world to strengthen their ability to grow good food, starting with local seeds. Farmers fighting for justice, health and sustainability.

Seeds of Diversity protects Canada's seed biodiversity. It is dedicated to the conservation of agricultural and horticultural biodiversity. Members preserve the basic building blocks of Canada's food system: plants, seeds, and pollinators. It saves and collects seeds of rare and endangered food plants, promote the health of pollinator ecosystems, help communities create local food systems, and make thousands of varieties of vegetables, fruit, and grains available that might otherwise disappear forever.

Seed Savers is a movement of seed preservers and distributors dedicated to the preservation of heirloom seeds.

National Farmers Union of Canada is centered on strong communities building sustainable farms. It is unique among farm organizations: it advocates for people’s interests against corporate control of the food system. NFU campaigns include Agroecology and Climate Change.

Canadian Organic Growers provides education, advocacy and leadership to help build an agricultural system that empowers farmers and consumers, enhances human health, builds community and mitigates climate change while increasing Canadian food sovereignty.
